I'm Ashley Brookshire, founder of AB Tutoring. I am a Southern California native with over a decade of experience in elementary education and I am excited to embark on this new chapter!

My passion for education began at a young age, inspired by my own third-grade teacher, Mrs. Brackett. After earning my degree from California State University, Long Beach, I embarked on a new chapter, balancing my professional aspirations with the joy of motherhood. I welcomed my daughter, Harper, in 2013 with my husband, Holden. After dedicating her formative years to family, I returned to California State University, Los Angeles, to pursue my teaching credential. My student teaching experience in the Long Beach Unified School District provided invaluable practical knowledge.

Our family grew again with the arrival of our second daughter, Sienna, leading to another period focused on family, after which I had the rewarding opportunity to teach at a private Christian school in Cypress. These experiences have solidified my belief that teaching is so much more just a profession for me- it is a passion and privilege.

Throughout my years in the classroom, I’ve cherished every opportunity to help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally, tailoring my approach to meet each child’s unique needs. This tutoring venture represents a chance not only to continue doing what I love, but also to bring flexibility and focus to individual learning goals. Whether it’s reinforcing classroom concepts, preparing for exams, or cultivating a love for subjects that spark curiosity, I am committed to providing a supportive, engaging, and productive learning space.

I am excited to partner with previous parents and students and look forward to connecting with new ones, as we work together to celebrate achievements, navigate challenges, and create lasting positive impacts.
